Job description
The Senior Analyst, Enterprise Risk Management at ADNOC Drilling is responsible for identifying, analyzing, documenting, and monitoring enterprise-wide risks that may threaten the company’s assets, earning capacity, regulatory compliance, or operational success within the oil and gas drilling sector. The role coordinates and facilitates the implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework across all divisions, in compliance with ADNOC Drilling and ADNOC Group Risk Management policies, UAE regulations, and Asset Integrity Management codes of practice. The position maintains and updates the enterprise risk register, conducts operational risk management surveys, re-insurance assessments, statistical risk analysis, and compliance reviews, and ensures that mitigation plans are developed, tracked, and effectively implemented. The role supports business units through risk re-assessments, control self-assessments, ERM documentation, risk workshops, training sessions, and simulation exercises, while promoting a strong risk and compliance culture. The Senior Analyst also collaborates with internal auditors, risk committees, executive management, and divisional leadership to escalate key risk issues, track risk metrics, review project risk management processes for large projects, and ensure continuous improvement of ERM processes and reporting through structured workflows and ERM databases.

Key responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously improve an effective Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program across ADNOC Drilling
- Coordinate and facilitate ERM implementation, including development and maintenance of the enterprise risk register
- Support business units in reassessing risks and updating risk and control self-assessments and ERM documentation
- Conduct operational risk management surveys, re-insurance surveys, and specialized risk analysis studies
- Monitor compliance with risk mitigation recommendations and track implementation status
- Educate business units on risk management practices through workshops, training sessions, seminars, and site visits
- Identify compliance vulnerabilities and develop corrective action plans to mitigate regulatory and legal risks
- Design, update, and support internal policies to mitigate legal and regulatory non-compliance risks
- Collaborate with divisions to ensure business compliance programs address regulatory risks relevant to operations
- Promote a transparent and proactive risk management and compliance culture across business units
- Evaluate technical justifications for risk improvement recommendations and mitigation initiatives
- Develop, track, and follow up on risk mitigation plans to ensure timely and effective execution
- Track risk assessments, mitigation plans, and control gaps within the ERM database and generate management reports
- Perform statistical analysis to identify risk trends, emerging threats, and areas requiring intervention
- Participate in special risk reduction projects and review project risk management processes for large-scale projects
- Review, analyze, and monitor risk metrics and key risk indicators across projects and operations
- Coordinate with internal auditors to identify risks for testing and record audit results in the ERM system
- Support Risk Committees or Executive Management Committees by highlighting key risk issues requiring management direction
- Develop and maintain efficient ERM workflows and communicate process changes to stakeholders
Experience & skills
- Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or an equivalent risk management discipline
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in enterprise risk management within the oil and gas industry
- Strong knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management frameworks, risk governance, and compliance practices
- Experience maintaining enterprise risk registers and ERM documentation systems
- Ability to conduct operational risk assessments, statistical analysis, and risk surveys
- Experience coordinating with internal auditors and risk committees
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Computer literacy with full familiarity in commercial software packages
- Associate of the Institute of Risk Management (AIRM) preferred
