Job description
The Sales Supervisor role at SADAFCO in Mecca, Saudi Arabia operates within the FMCG Sales and Distribution industry and is responsible for managing a team of salesmen and supervising sales and secondary distribution activities across assigned routes. The role ensures alignment with Sales & Distribution policies to achieve sales targets and key KPIs while operating within defined costs and operational parameters. Responsibilities include assisting Area Sales Manager (ASM) or Branch Manager (BM) in setting sales targets, guiding and motivating sales staff, and managing route performance. The position requires gathering market and competitor insights across sales and distribution channels and coordinating actions with ASM/BM. The role ensures execution of the company’s Replenishment program, maintaining optimal product availability, freshness, and adherence to replenishment system recommendations. It involves executing agreements with Modern Trade and Wholesale customers, maintaining strong business relationships, and optimizing journey planning and customer route planning for efficiency and productivity. The Sales Supervisor monitors product shelf life at the point of sale, ensures stock rotation, wastage control, and compliance with company policies. Additional responsibilities include initiating new customer acquisition aligned with Sales & Distribution plans, managing credit and collection processes according to company credit policy, maintaining company assets, and ensuring proper vehicle and uniform standards. The role requires managing people in line with HR policies, providing training for new and existing staff, and ensuring accurate administration and reporting using MSFA (Mobile Sales Force Automation). Daily MSFA endorsements are conducted to review performance, identify opportunities, and follow up on actions, ensuring continuous improvement in sales execution and operational efficiency.

- Manage and supervise salesmen and oversee sales and secondary distribution activities across assigned routes to achieve sales targets and KPIs
- Assist ASM/BM in setting sales targets and guide and motivate sales staff to effectively manage route performance within agreed costs and operational parameters
- Collect and analyze market and competitor insights across sales and distribution channels and coordinate actions with ASM/BM
- Ensure execution of the Replenishment program maintaining optimal product availability, freshness, and compliance with replenishment system recommendations
- Execute agreements with Modern Trade and Wholesale customers and maintain strong business relationships within the designated area
- Optimize journey planning and customer route planning to maximize productivity and efficiency of the sales team
- Monitor product shelf life at point of sale ensuring proper stock rotation, wastage control, and no expired products are displayed
- Initiate and organize sales to new customers aligned with Sales & Distribution plans to drive business growth
- Execute company credit policy and manage credit and collection processes ensuring timely payments
- Maintain company assets including vehicles and initiate repairs or replacements as required
- Manage team performance and staffing in line with HR policies and provide training for new recruits and existing staff
- Ensure accurate data entry, administration, and reporting using MSFA (Mobile Sales Force Automation) systems
- Conduct daily MSFA endorsements reviewing sales performance, identifying opportunities, and ensuring follow-up actions
- Ensure proper appearance standards including vehicle cleanliness and compliance with company uniform policies
Experience & skills
- Hold minimum high school diploma or certificate with vocational degree in business, marketing, or finance
- Demonstrate minimum 5 years of van sales experience or 2 years in a similar Sales Supervisor role
- Demonstrate experience in sales management, route management, and Sales & Distribution operations within FMCG environment
- Demonstrate knowledge of replenishment program execution, inventory replenishment, and product shelf life monitoring
- Demonstrate experience in key account management, wholesale distribution, and customer relationship management
- Demonstrate experience in journey planning, route optimization, and customer route planning
- Demonstrate knowledge of credit management and collection management processes
- Demonstrate proficiency in MSFA (Mobile Sales Force Automation), data entry, and sales reporting systems
- Demonstrate computer literacy and ability to perform administrative and reporting tasks
- Demonstrate proficiency in English language with Arabic preferred
- Meet additional requirements including minimum age of 22 years and physical fitness
