Job description
Tabby processes more than $10 billion in annual transaction volume for over 40,000 partner brands including Amazon, Noon, IKEA and SHEIN, and the Data Services Team behind that scale is where this Senior Data Engineer role sits. You build a Feature Store and other internal data services from the ground up, alongside EL, ELT and ETL pipelines that keep data flowing across the business. New tools for data processing and storage get integrated as the stack evolves. High-load, scalable data processing and storage systems form the daily focus, drawing on solid grounding in event driven systems and streaming pipelines. Python and SQL, both applied to best practice standards, sit at the core of the work, alongside system design principles. The tech stack spans Airflow, Debezium, BigQuery or Clickhouse, PostgreSQL or CockroachDB, Docker, GitLab (CI/CD) and GCP. REST APIs, GRPC APIs, message brokers and queues all get used to connect services together. Operational tasks fall within scope as well, keeping the Feature Store and related data services running smoothly day to day.
