The Unit Manager – NICU in Dubai is responsible for providing clinical leadership, operational management, and high-quality care for critically ill newborns within a hospital setting. The role encompasses overseeing the daily operations of the NICU, managing patient flow, ensuring compliance with DHA guidelines and hospital policies, implementing evidence-based care pathways, and supporting families throughout the patient journey. The Unit Manager supervises and mentors nursing and clinical staff, conducts performance evaluations, fosters professional development, and serves as a resource for junior staff. The position requires active participation in audits, incident reporting, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Additional responsibilities include financial oversight including Capex management, maintaining confidentiality and professional standards, effective communication with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring safe, high-paced, patient-centered care. The role demands strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
