Job description
The Value & Access Lead supports the Head of Value and Access in designing and executing pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategies for Novartis' Oncology portfolio in Saudi Arabia. The role ensures optimal product positioning through the customization of health economics models, stakeholder engagement, and accurate regulatory submissions. It involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and health authorities to optimize patient access and pricing outcomes while ensuring alignment with internal systems and global strategy.

Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of the Oncology portfolio including clinical/economic data
- Monitor changes in Saudi reimbursement and pricing dynamics to identify risks and opportunities
- Map current and potential access drivers in Saudi Arabia to build compelling value propositions
- Formulate and implement P&MA strategy for Oncology with the Head of VA
- Engage with payers and decision makers to gather actionable insights
- Develop and implement high-quality pricing and market access plans
- Localize Global Value Dossiers, health-economic models, and value stories
- Deliver training on HEOR tools to cross-functional teams
- Prepare SFDA pricing applications, tender submissions, and economic evaluations
- Maintain internal pricing systems such as PricePRO with up-to-date data
- Support internal and external processes to ensure successful reimbursement at optimal price
- Develop and sustain strategic partnerships with KDMs and purchasing departments
- Advise internal stakeholders on local pricing and access challenges
- Support commercial agreements and managed entry programs to maximize Oncology sales
- Establish strong working relationships with internal cross-functional teams
- Ensure compliance with internal Ethics and Compliance policies
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Economics, Health Sciences, or Business Marketing
- Preferred graduate degree: MBA, Master's, or PhD in relevant field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in market access or pharmaceutical key account roles
- Experience in Oncology therapeutic area preferred
- Proven experience in health economics and managed entry agreements
- Strong analytical, strategic, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proficiency in English and local language (Arabic strongly preferred)
- Experience with Saudi market pricing and regulatory processes
