Job description
The Vice President, Digital Product Owner - CASA at RAKBANK will lead the digital transformation of Current Account, Savings Account, and Deposit propositions through innovation and customer-centric design. Reporting into the Personal Banking Group, this role owns the CASA product vision and roadmap to drive acquisition, engagement, and retention across digital and assisted channels. The position demands expertise in defining and executing a CASA Transformation roadmap, prioritizing backlogs, and translating vision into actionable user stories. The VP collaborates with UX/UI, architecture, and agile delivery teams to deliver best-in-class digital journeys, ensuring scalability and alignment with RAKBANKās strategic goals. Responsibilities include optimizing acquisition channels, enhancing product features, ensuring compliance with risk and regulatory requirements, and leveraging data analytics for continuous improvement. The role requires staying abreast of emerging digital trends, identifying opportunities for personalization and automation, and driving financial performance by improving origination volumes and reducing cost-to-acquire through automation. The VP is accountable for measurable KPIs including conversion rates, drop-off points, and portfolio growth, ensuring that digital banking offerings remain competitive and customer-focused within the UAE financial sector.

Key responsibilities
- Define and execute the CASA Transformation roadmap to align with strategic goals
- Prioritize product backlog and translate vision into actionable user stories for development teams
- Collaborate with UX/UI and architecture teams to deliver intuitive and high-impact digital journeys
- Optimize customer acquisition channels and enhance product features to increase CASA growth
- Lead a cross-functional agile squad comprising developers, designers, analysts, and testers
- Act as the single point of accountability for product decisions and sprint planning
- Ensure timely delivery of product increments with adherence to quality and compliance standards
- Communicate progress, risks, and key outcomes to senior stakeholders within the organization
- Champion the voice of the customer through continuous feedback and data-driven insights
- Collaborate with Risk and Compliance teams to maintain regulatory adherence and governance
- Monitor digital banking market trends and competitor innovations to inform product enhancements
- Identify opportunities for personalization, advisory features, and digital engagement growth
- Improve origination volumes and reduce cost-to-acquire through automation and efficiency improvements
- Track key performance indicators including conversion rates, drop-off points, and portfolio growth
- Enable upsell and cross-sell opportunities through integrated digital customer journeys
Experience & skills
- Possess a bachelorās degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or Engineering
- Preferably hold a masterās degree such as an MBA or MSc in Finance or Digital Innovation
- Hold certifications such as CSPO, SAFe PO/PM, Agile, Lean, or Design Thinking (preferred)
- Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, digital transformation, or agile delivery
- Demonstrate at least 5 years in a senior product owner role within an agile organization
- Possess experience with digital banking platforms and regulatory compliance requirements
- Demonstrate proficiency in Agile methodologies including Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban
- Show expertise in product lifecycle management and backlog management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and Confluence
- Collaborate effectively in customer journey mapping and UX design processes
- Leverage data analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Power BI, and Tableau for product insights
- Understand API and integration concepts for scalable digital banking solutions
- Maintain awareness of financial regulations such as AML, FATCA, and MiFID II
- Exhibit strong strategic thinking, execution capability, and stakeholder management skills
