Job description
The Manager, Market Intelligence at Masdar will collect, analyze, and interpret data related to renewable energy markets, competitor activities, and regulatory developments. The role provides actionable insights to support Masdarās strategic initiatives, partnerships, market entry strategies, and investment decisions. It requires expertise in renewable energy dynamics, data modeling, and delivering clear recommendations to senior management.

Key responsibilities
- Support in developing and delivering the annual operational business plans and KPIs for the unit and contribute to performance monitoring and reporting.
- Collect and analyze data from external sources, including market reports, public databases, government publications, and industry news, focusing on renewable energy sectors such as clean energy, green hydrogen, and sustainability.
- Perform in-depth competitive analysis, identifying key market players, emerging competitors, and disruptive trends in regional and global markets.
- Provide insights into market size, growth potential, demand-supply dynamics, and regulatory frameworks to inform market entry, partnerships, and investment strategies.
- Develop and maintain models to forecast market trends, renewable energy demand, and pricing dynamics.
- Track key industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological innovations to identify potential opportunities and threats.
- Present actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to the Strategy & Partnerships team to support planning and positioning.
- Provide market intelligence support for strategic partnership development by assessing market attractiveness, competitor positioning, and partner capabilities.
- Collaborate with the team to conduct due diligence and provide market assessments for new market entry, considering regulatory conditions, market readiness, and competition.
- Support the development of market entry strategies and business cases for new markets and business lines.
- Assist in the evaluation of new renewable energy projects, assessing market viability, ROI, and risks.
- Conduct research on industry-specific investment opportunities and ensure alignment with corporate goals.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Business, Economics, Market Research, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
- Masterās degree in a relevant field (MBA, MS in Renewable Energy, Energy Economics) is an advantage.
- 5ā7 years of experience in market intelligence, research, or strategy roles, preferably in renewable energy, clean tech, or energy sectors.
- Experience in market analysis, competitive intelligence, or business strategy with knowledge of energy sector dynamics, technological advancements, and regulatory trends.
- Experience supporting strategic partnerships, market entry strategies, and investment evaluations.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and other market research/data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with modeling techniques such as market sizing, forecasting, and pricing analysis.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail with high-quality and reliable market intelligence output.
