Job description
Insurance disputes that reach the committee have to be decided under the Civil Transactions Law, Commercial Law, Civil Procedure Law, Evidence Law and core insurance principles, and this Abu Dhabi expert drafts those decisions. Calculations and assessments cover business interruption, life insurance and other insurance matters. Each dispute file is analysed from both technical and legal angles and classed as simple, medium or complex. Responsive, commentary and closing memorandums are studied in depth so nothing is missed. Legal defences raised by the parties are countered using appeals and established legal principles. Expert reports on vehicles, fire incidents, health, investment and life insurance come to you for review, with amendments recommended where needed. Keeping current with rulings from the Supreme Federal Courts and the Courts of Cassation is essential, since they shape how current cases are decided. Fluency in Arabic and English, a law degree and 15 years of experience are required.
