Job description
As a Business Development Lead, you will spearhead revenue growth, strategic partnerships, and market expansion. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on sales execution, requiring deep experience in enterprise B2B sales cycles, relationship building with C-level executives, and driving high-value deal closures. You will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, leading negotiations, managing client relationships, and aligning cross-functional teams (marketing, product, delivery) to ensure solutions meet client needs. The role also demands strong analytical ability to interpret market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity, shaping business strategy for long-term success.

- Develop and execute business development strategy to drive revenue and expand market presence.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and high-value leads.
- Lead full sales cycles from prospecting and proposal development to negotiation and deal closure.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with C-level executives, clients, and industry stakeholders.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and delivery teams to ensure client needs are met.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to refine go-to-market strategies.
- Maintain accurate reporting of pipeline health, revenue forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Mentor and support junior BD team members to build a high-performing business development function.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- 11+ years of proven experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships.
- Demonstrated track record of closing high-value deals and driving revenue growth.
- Strong commercial acumen with deep understanding of enterprise sales processes.
- Proven experience in consultative and solution selling within B2B environments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to build credibility and trust with senior business leaders and executives.
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho) and reporting dashboards.
- Understanding of contract structuring, pricing models, and bid/RFP processes.
- Experience with global sales exposure across regions (North America, EMEA, APAC) is preferred.
