Job description
The QA/QC Manager â Construction Quality Management at Egis in Jeddah is responsible for overseeing and assuring the quality of all works executed by contractors and consultants on behalf of the Client within engineering and construction projects, including construction and/or renovation works. The role ensures that the project is delivered in full compliance with contract requirements, technical specifications, applicable codes, regulatory requirements, authority approvals, and the Clientâs quality objectives by establishing and monitoring an effective Quality Management framework across all project participants. The position involves developing, implementing, and maintaining the Clientâs Project Quality Management Plan and overall quality strategy in alignment with corporate Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 9001 requirements. The QA/QC Manager reviews and approves contractorsâ and consultantsâ Quality Plans, ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), method statements, and procedures, ensuring compliance with contract and Client standards and verifying their effective implementation during project execution. The role establishes quality objectives and KPIs, monitors contractor and consultant performance against defined metrics, and reports trends and risks to the Clientâs Project Director and management team. Responsibilities include planning and leading independent Client-side quality audits and surveillance inspections across contractors, consultants, vendors, and key processes, following up on non-conformities through structured NCR management until closure, and ensuring robust quality documentation and records are maintained. The QA/QC Manager monitors compliance of works and materials with contract specifications, regulatory requirements, and authority approvals, coordinating with design, supervision, and HSE teams as required. The role also advises and supports Client and PMC management on quality matters including risk identification and mitigation measures, coordinates quality interfaces between Client, consultants, and contractors to resolve quality issues and claims in a timely manner, and promotes a culture of quality and continuous improvement by leading quality meetings, workshops, and lessons-learned sessions on behalf of the Client.

Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelorâs degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Demonstrate a minimum of 15+ yearsâ experience within construction and/or renovation projects
- Show proven experience in reviewing and managing contractor and consultant quality systems and performance including audits, NCR management, and handover documentation
- Exhibit strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and construction project QMS implementation
- Demonstrate experience with local authority and regulatory requirements in the project location
- Possess ISO certification or other recognized quality certification
