Senior Technical Engineer – Workplace Services AV Engineer within Emirates Group IT (EGIT) responsible for designing, developing, and delivering robust, high-quality IT data solutions aligned with business needs and corporate standards in Dubai, UAE aviation sector. Role acts as technical expert and consultant within Workplace Services technology area, providing guidance to EGIT teams and leading technical work packages to bridge business requirements and technical implementation. Responsible for ensuring IT solutions meet service level expectations including availability, capacity, continuity, security, performance, and reliability while adhering to enterprise development standards and architecture methodologies. The role develops solution architectures aligned with enterprise architecture (EA) standards, supports adoption of new technologies, and contributes to technology advancement. Works closely with IT teams to ensure monitoring of systems and configuration of Level 1 & Level 2 incidents within EMS, ensures incident and problem management processes are followed, and ensures solutions meet architectural and security standards. Responsible for managing changes, guiding project managers and technical teams on solution definition and design, and ensuring delivery within cost and time constraints. Maintains high-quality technical documentation including design specifications, configuration details, support procedures, operations manuals, and deployment architecture. Manages end-of-life replacement of equipment and software ensuring compliance with technical standards. Ensures translation of requirements into effective programs using enterprise development tools and methodologies while supporting large-scale implementation of AV technologies, Microsoft Teams Room systems, digital signage, video walls, and enterprise collaboration systems across Emirates Group IT environment.

Key responsibilities
- Provide expert technical consultancy and act as lead technical SME for Workplace Services AV solutions within Emirates Group IT projects
- Design and develop IT solutions and solution architectures ensuring compliance with corporate standards, EA frameworks, and technical strategy requirements
- Ensure IT solutions meet service-level requirements including availability, capacity, continuity, security, performance, and reliability
- Collaborate with IT teams to configure monitoring and manage Level 1 and Level 2 incidents within EMS environments
- Guide project managers and technical teams in defining solution architecture, technical design, and delivery of in-house developed solutions
- Manage incident, problem, and change management processes ensuring resolution within service levels and minimal business impact
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, configuration manuals, support procedures, and deployment architectures
Experience & skills
- Hold Degree or Honours (12+3) or equivalent qualification in Information Technology or related field
- Demonstrate at least 5+ years of experience in Information Technology, preferably in enterprise IT environments
- Exhibit experience managing Microsoft Teams Room Systems and enterprise AV/UC technologies
- Show strong knowledge of video walls, AVIXA standards, AVoIP systems, and digital signage platforms
- Demonstrate expertise in networking concepts including LAN/WAN, routing, cloud/on-prem infrastructure, subnetting, and security principles
- Possess hands-on experience with IT service management tools including Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow (SNOW)
- Show proven ability in stakeholder management and translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Demonstrate experience supporting large-scale AV/IT implementation and adoption in enterprise environments
