EMC Networker underpins the backup tool at the center of this role, alongside BMC Control-M as the scheduling platform used across daily operations. You deliver implementation, release deployment, configuration, monitoring and support on the Backup Tool, keeping it aligned with the bank's targeted vision. Daily BAU, EOD and SOD operations depend on close control of core banking, treasury and other applications, all run to standard operating procedures. Technical support and administration of the Backup Tool and its plug-ins involves investigating, assessing and resolving issues, sometimes extending into the design, build or modification of batch schedules. The Automation Tool gets the same level of attention, with job configuration adjusted as issues are investigated and resolved. System enhancements and upgrades are planned and implemented on an ongoing basis, and implementation standards and support documentation are kept current to protect service levels. IT departments across the bank get engaged directly to gather requirements and confirm that EOD flow and backup and restore operations meet their expectations. Backup and restore operations are monitored, analyzed and supported continuously, with data backup handled in line with the Bank's policies and procedures. Business systems and bank transactions are checked around the clock, with issues reported to the relevant team within IT.
