Job description
The Senior, IT Assurance role within Deloitteās Audit & Assurance practice is responsible for leading and executing IT assurance and IT risk engagements across a diverse client base in the United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on evaluating General IT Controls (GITC), IT Application Controls (ITAC), interface controls, and IT controls over financial reporting, including SOX audits. The position involves managing third-party assurance reporting assignments such as SOC 1 (ISAE 3402) and SOC 2, assessing IT infrastructure, enterprise applications including SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics, and reviewing cybersecurity environments against established frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, and ISO 27001. The role includes managing the full engagement lifecycle, drafting and reviewing proposals and RFP responses, finalizing workpapers in line with Deloitte and regulatory standards, developing remediation plans for control deficiencies, and supporting go-to-market and thought leadership initiatives within the Risk Advisory practice while maintaining awareness of regional regulatory developments and emerging IT risk trends.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and execute IT assurance engagements including evaluation of General IT Controls, IT Application Controls, and interface controls
- Perform and oversee SOC 1 (ISAE 3402) and SOC 2 third-party assurance reporting engagements
- Lead SOX audits by evaluating IT controls over financial reporting
- Assess IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, and cybersecurity environments
- Develop and implement remediation plans for identified IT control deficiencies
- Manage the full engagement lifecycle from planning and fieldwork through reporting and follow-up
- Prepare, draft, and review proposals and RFP responses in line with practice standards
- Review and finalize workpapers to ensure quality and compliance with Deloitte and regulatory requirements
- Present IT control findings and recommendations to client stakeholders
- Support go-to-market activities and thought leadership initiatives within the Risk Advisory practice
- Stay informed on regional regulatory developments, emerging technologies, and IT risk trends
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelorās degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field
- Possess 3ā5 years of experience in IT audit, IT assurance, or IT risk consulting
- Demonstrate knowledge of IT risk and cybersecurity standards such as COBIT, NIST, and ISO 27001
- Show familiarity with ERP systems including SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Hold or be in progress toward professional certifications such as CISA, CPA, CIA, or CISSP
- Demonstrate experience delivering IT assurance services within a professional services or consulting environment
- Exhibit willingness to travel across the region as required by client engagements
