Job description
Masdar, the UAEās clean energy leader, is hiring a Team Leader, Financial Planning to support the Group Finance function in driving high-quality financial reporting, planning, and performance analysis. This role plays a vital part in consolidating data across business units, aligning internal scorecards with shareholder expectations, and enabling strategic financial insights for executive leadership. The position supports both Masdar and Masdar Green Hydrogen units and reports into the Chief Financial Office.

Key responsibilities
- Define and implement reporting requirements from investee entities and assets in coordination with GL and management accounting teams
- Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reports received for consolidation
- Deliver monthly flash reports, executive board reports, and internal management reports within defined working day deadlines
- Provide clear and actionable financial commentary on variances and performance metrics
- Update internal financial performance scorecards and align metrics with corporate objectives
- Coordinate performance reviews with functional heads and consolidate feedback for executive analysis
- Assist in budget planning and forecast submissions, coordinating across various departments and platforms
- Support re-forecasting cycles and ad-hoc forecasting for corporate and functional units
- Prepare DEVEX reporting for key stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and contribute to maintaining robust financial controls and audit readiness
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4ā6 years of experience in financial planning and reporting
- CA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification preferred
- Experience in group-level financial planning within large multinational companies is advantageous
- Proficient in ERP systems and strong command of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Deep understanding of IFRS, financial controls, and international audit standards
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and consultative skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to prepare complex reports and provide strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders
