Job description
The Relationship Manager within Mashreq Gold’s Retail Banking Group is responsible for managing a portfolio of high-net-worth (HNW) clients, providing personalized banking and investment services to maximize profitability for both clients and the bank. The role involves building strong client relationships, sourcing new business through referrals, marketing activities, and personal networks, while enhancing cross-selling and up-selling opportunities across Mashreq Gold’s product suite. The Relationship Manager will achieve financial goals by driving revenue, sales, and portfolio growth, and ensuring clients are aware of all bank services. Responsibilities include safeguarding against AML risks and fraud, maintaining superior customer service standards, countering competition in wealth management offerings, and minimizing client attrition. The position requires strong financial markets knowledge, interpersonal and networking skills, proven experience in the UAE banking sector, and CISI certification.

- Provide HNW clients with personalized service to strengthen relationships and ensure loyalty
- Enhance Mashreq Gold’s balance sheet through revenue growth and cross-selling of products
- Source new business from HNW individuals via referrals, marketing, and personal contacts
- Communicate with clients to identify and address their financial needs
- Achieve revenue, sales, and portfolio growth targets across Mashreq Gold products and services
- Maximize profitability from existing Gold base while countering competition from alternative investment providers
- Acquire New-to-Bank HNW clients
- Maintain superior client service including proactive issue resolution
- Safeguard the bank against AML, fraud, and ensure ethical behavior during and after sales
- Enhance Mashreq Gold’s market profile and awareness
- Reduce client attrition through effective relationship management
Experience & skills
- Be a university graduate
- Have 5–6 years of experience in a similar role with another bank or financial services firm in the UAE
- Demonstrate strong financial markets knowledge
- Possess strong selling, communication, and negotiation skills
- Show excellent relationship management and networking skills
- Exhibit interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
- Be extroverted and personable
- Hold CISI certification
