Job description
RMJM is seeking to appoint an Architectural Inspector to support the continued growth of its Dubai Site Supervision Team. The role is responsible for managing construction supervision activities related to the Architectural discipline to ensure achievement of project milestones, timely delivery, and best-quality outcomes. The position involves inspecting site conditions prior to commencement of construction activities, verifying site compatibility with designed permanent works, identifying obstructions, and photographing and documenting existing property conditions that may be affected by construction works. The Architectural Inspector reviews materials delivered to site for compliance with approved samples, materials, and equipment, verifies proper storage conditions, and reports discrepancies. The role includes inspecting temporary and permanent works to ensure compliance with Contract Documents, approved shop drawings, and submittals, as well as preparing daily logs and reports, maintaining inspection and testing records, and performing duties in accordance with the Contract Administration Procedures Manual. The position also involves observing site safety practices, monitoring work progress, assisting with inspections of completed works, preparing punch lists, and monitoring start-up, testing, commissioning, and handover activities. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the review of architectural and Interior Design shop drawings and material submittals and performing other duties as assigned by the direct manager. The role requires extensive experience in Middle East building projects and consultancy-based construction administration, including UAE project exposure.
