Job description
The Senior Account Manager for Startups at AWS EMEA SARL (Saudi Arabia Branch) is responsible for driving adoption, growth, and revenue for early- and mid-stage startups in the MENA region, focusing on building AWS as their primary cloud platform. The role requires managing a defined territory of high-potential, well-funded startups, understanding their unique technical, operational, and business needs, and tailoring sales strategies to accelerate adoption of AWS services. This includes collaborating with internal teams such as business development, marketing, solutions architecture, and partner teams to execute coordinated go-to-market strategies and sales plays. The position involves creating compelling value propositions, engaging founders, CxOs, Boards, and VC influencers, developing long-term strategic relationships with key accounts, and meeting or exceeding quarterly revenue and goal targets. Moderate regional travel is expected. The role emphasizes deep understanding of the MENA startup ecosystem, AI/ML technologies, and the ability to align internal resources to enable startup success and long-term adoption of AWS products and services.

- Ensure customer success with early and mid-stage startups in the MENA region
- Drive revenue and market share within a defined territory or industry vertical
- Accelerate customer adoption through well-developed sales engagements and successful GTM strategy
- Meet or exceed quarterly revenue and goal targets
- Develop and execute against a comprehensive account and territory plan
- Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services
- Engage founders, CxOs, Boards of Directors, and VC influencers to accelerate customer adoption
- Work with partners to extend reach and drive adoption of AWS services
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
- Collaborate with internal business development, marketing, solutions architecture, and partner teams to execute coordinated go-to-market strategies
Experience & skills
- Experience in direct sales or business development in software, cloud, or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives
- Experience in business development, partner development, sales, or alliances management
- Knowledge of the MENA startup ecosystem and founder/VC network
- AI/ML technical acumen
- Preferred: KSA national with ecosystem network
- Ability to work with high-potential, well-funded startups and adapt sales strategies to unique technical and business needs
- Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders across business development, marketing, solutions architecture, and partner teams
- Experience in creating and executing account and territory plans
- Proficiency in developing compelling value propositions for AWS services
- Experience in engaging senior-level executives, including founders, CxOs, Board members, and VC influencers
- Ability to drive startup adoption of cloud technologies and AWS platform
- Experience managing regional sales targets and meeting or exceeding revenue goals
- Ability to plan and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies for startups in MENA
