Job description
The Senior Cost Control Engineer supports project financial performance by developing and maintaining cost budgets and baselines, monitoring actual costs, commitments, and forecasts, analyzing variances, and preparing monthly cost reports, dashboards, and EAC forecasts. The role includes reviewing contractor invoices, variations, and cost-related contract items, tracking approved change requests, supporting risk reviews by identifying cost impacts and trends, and ensuring compliance with internal cost control procedures and audit requirements. The position is highly relevant for oil & gas and EPC projects, requiring proficiency in SAP, Oracle, EcoSys, Excel, MS Office, and data analytics, with the ability to develop cost models, forecast revenue and costs, and provide accurate and timely reporting to support project decision-making.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project cost budgets and baselines.
- Monitor actual costs, commitments, and forecasts against approved budgets.
- Prepare monthly cost reports, dashboards, and EAC forecasts.
- Review and validate contractor invoices, variations, and cost-related contract items.
- Track change requests and incorporate approved changes into project budgets.
- Support risk reviews by identifying cost impacts and trends.
- Ensure compliance with internal cost control procedures and audit requirements.
- Develop and set up Cost Model System and perform revenue and cost forecasting.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in project cost control, preferably in oil & gas or EPC projects.
- Proficiency with cost management tools such as SAP, Oracle, EcoSys, and Excel.
- Professional certifications such as AACEI CCP or PMP preferred.
- Strong analytical and numerical ability.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in fast-paced project environments.
- Experience in data analytics and Power BI reporting.
- Good knowledge of cost model development and forecasting.
