The Senior Personal Banker - Loan DST role within a UAE-based retail banking environment is focused on achieving aggressive monthly sales targets for personal banking products and services, with a strong emphasis on loan origination and customer acquisition across targeted market segments. The role involves proactive prospecting through phone calls, face-to-face visits, and structured outreach activities to generate new business opportunities and build a strong pipeline of potential customers. A key responsibility is to present and sell personal banking products in a structured, ethical, and professional manner while ensuring adherence to internal bank standards and customer service excellence. The position also includes managing relationships with approved corporate clients where required, developing key contacts to facilitate payroll transfer opportunities and deepen banking penetration. The banker is expected to execute micro-marketing initiatives such as kiosk activities and direct marketing campaigns to increase product awareness and customer engagement. The role requires strong objection-handling capabilities to convert prospects into customers while maintaining a consultative sales approach. Additionally, the banker must ensure end-to-end processing of all applications with strict adherence to turnaround time (TAT) requirements and quality standards. Compliance is a critical component of the role, including adherence to KYC, FATCA, AML CTF regulations, and all third-party channel interaction policies. The position requires accurate documentation and continuous updating of CRM systems, including maintaining daily sales reports and recording all customer interactions and leads. The role also involves active participation in team activities such as morning huddles, training sessions, coaching programs, and compliance-related learning initiatives. High ethical standards are expected, with immediate escalation of any suspected or actual policy breaches to senior management. Experience & skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, preferably in banking or financial services
- Ability to work in a retail banking sales environment with performance-driven targets
- Basic knowledge of retail banking products, services, and processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle objections and convert leads into customers
- Understanding of banking compliance requirements including KYC, FATCA, and AML CTF
