Job description
The Security Supervisor at Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre, a Forbes 5-Star luxury hotel, is responsible for maintaining constant vigilance over activities on and around the hotel property to enhance the safety and security of guests, team members, contractors, and visitors. The role involves supervising and overseeing the daily operations of the Security Team, ensuring that all security procedures are executed at the highest service standards in line with the Waldorf Astoria brand. The Security Supervisor leads emergency responses, conducts investigations into accidents, thefts, property loss, and unlawful activities, and ensures accurate documentation and reporting to management. The position requires conducting regular foot patrols of both interior and exterior hotel areas, monitoring security systems for unusual activity, maintaining order within the hotel, and coordinating practical and hospitable responses to emergencies. Administrative responsibilities include preparing staff schedules, incident and patrol reports, audits, and other security documentation. The role demands fluency in Arabic, working knowledge of fire safety and first aid, and experience in environments with high volumes of people movement, ideally within luxury hotel operations in the UAE.

Key responsibilities
- Supervise, lead, and train security guards while overseeing daily security operations to ensure a safe and secure hotel environment.
- Assume responsibility for initial emergency responses, investigations, inspections, projects, and assigned administrative duties.
- Conduct regular foot patrols of the hotel interior and perimeter to identify and assess potential security or safety risks.
- Lead and document investigations into accidents, thefts, property loss, and unlawful activities and advise hotel management accordingly.
- Maintain order within the hotel by addressing guest welfare issues and coordinating effective emergency responses in a hospitable manner.
- Monitor CCTV and security systems to detect unusual or suspicious activities and report findings directly to management.
- Prepare and manage administrative outputs including duty schedules, incident reports, audits, and patrolling documentation.
Experience & skills
- Previous security experience, preferably in environments managing large volumes of people movement.
- Fluency in Arabic language.
- Experience in planning, organizing, and enforcing security systems.
- Valid and current qualifications in fire safety and first aid.
- Previous experience in a similar security supervisory role within a luxury hotel in the UAE (advantageous).
- Previous training experience with relevant security-related qualifications (advantageous).
