Job description
Round-the-clock construction is the reality on this project, with work running 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including night shifts and weekends. Bechtel is managing the infrastructure program for Expo 2030 Riyadh Company (ERC) across a six-square-kilometre site, and this civil position supports construction supervision there. Earthworks, underground utilities and their associated structures, and road construction make up the core scope. Contractors are checked against construction issued drawings, including temporary facilities and field sketches, and as-built drawings are prepared as work progresses. Quantities and material takeoffs submitted by the contractor are reviewed, with any discrepancies reported to your supervisor. Field change notices, extra work orders and back charge notices need close tracking, alongside manpower, material and equipment projections. Method statements and safety submittals for Safe Systems of Work get your review, and a zero-accident policy is maintained with the contractor. Daily reports go to the Senior Construction Engineer and Construction Manager, and coordination and progress meetings with the contractor run daily and weekly. A bachelor's degree, at least 5 years of relevant experience and GCC experience, ideally in KSA, are required.
