Job description
Revenue across Rooms, Meetings & Events, Food & Drinks, and the rest of the hotel's offerings all depend partly on how well the Corporate and Group segments get managed, and that's where this Sales Manager role at Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre comes in. Direct sales activity drives the job, from marketing initiatives and telemarketing to client appointments and hotel tours, all aimed at generating measurable, incremental revenue growth. You develop and implement strategic action plans, updating goals and financial objectives every quarter as the market shifts. New accounts and business opportunities get identified continuously, backed by daily sales calls, site inspections, and client entertainment for corporate clients. Rate negotiations run through close coordination with the Revenue team, while relationships with the Front Office team keep shared goals aligned across departments. Sales calls alongside team members, property visits, and FAM trips all feed into account development, and the same visits surface training needs worth addressing. Local community relationships get built too, expanding the customer base beyond existing accounts. Every business lead gets followed up within a 24 hour response window, keeping the sales pipeline moving at the pace a Forbes Five-Star property demands.
