Job description
Strategic decisions across trade and commodities markets need to be grounded in real intelligence rather than guesswork, and delivering that intelligence is the core purpose of this Senior Analyst, Market Intelligence role. You will monitor product markets, trade flows, pricing trends, and supply-demand dynamics, turning raw signals into insight that decision-makers can actually use. Competitor activity, market entry and exit, pricing movements, and industry developments all get analysed as part of the regular workload. Emerging risks and opportunities arising from regulatory, geopolitical, logistical, or commercial developments need identifying before they catch the business off guard. Market intelligence gets gathered and validated through industry outreach, stakeholder engagement, surveys, and external data sources. Reports, dashboards, briefing notes, and market intelligence updates get developed for senior management on an ongoing basis. Supply chain disruptions, commodity price movements, and changing market conditions all get assessed for their impact on the business. Sector performance gets tracked continuously, with recommendations provided to support strategic planning and decision-making. Government entities, industry associations, suppliers, distributors, and private-sector stakeholders all get engaged to collect and validate intelligence.
