Job description
Wood is recruiting a Principal Process Engineer to join its UAE Business Unit for a Major Onshore Brownfield Project in Sharjah, UAE, focused on the design, preparation of specification, data sheets and analysis of process engineering requirements. The full-time office-based role entails review of EPC Contractor and Vendor documentation in line with Client specifications and contract requirements, assurance of quality of design, quick issuance and resolution of comment resolution sheets, attendance at safety and design reviews and FATs (within UAE, if required), and awareness of project status including cost and schedule impacts due to technical issues. The engineer will perform process studies for the Client, actively engage in the design, preparation of specification and data sheets, carry out detailed design to meet technical requirements, and plan and support Process engineering design for field requirements including preparation of basic design, data sheets, specifications, support on design deliverables, and detailed design of the process scope. The role requires ensuring design is carried out per industry standard practices and in conformance with the quality management system, coordinating with the Project team and client, identifying issues impeding project progress, and reporting to Project Managers and Line Manager. The position involves assimilating the evolution of new products and technology, updating on latest international standards and engineering design applications, identifying new work methodologies for higher productivity, and standing in as lead as required.
