Job description
The Vice President - Risk is responsible for the development, maintenance, and implementation of Aldarās enterprise risk management framework in alignment with the organizationās strategic plans, as well as the design and execution of Business Continuity Management System frameworks and Crisis Management frameworks across the Group. The role owns the development, rollout, and testing of the Groupās Business Continuity Plans, ensuring preparedness for internal and external disruptions. The position involves leading the design, documentation, communication, and embedding of risk management and business continuity frameworks across Aldarās core processes and roles, conducting annual policy reviews, identifying and reporting significant strategic and operational risks, monitoring mitigation plans, and preparing quarterly strategic risk reporting packs for senior management. The role also scopes, plans, and consolidates annual Business Continuity Plan testing, supports stakeholders in responding to emerging risks, and ensures alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements, including NCEMA regulations. The role operates within Aldar Corporate under Enterprise Risk and Business Excellence and is based on-site in Abu Dhabi, supporting large-scale real estate and diversified business operations.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise risk management, business continuity, and crisis management policies, processes, and frameworks and embed them across Aldarās core business processes and roles
- Lead the design, documentation, communication, and implementation of Aldarās Risk Management, Business Continuity Management System, and Crisis Management frameworks
- Conduct annual reviews of risk management policies and coordinate sign-off while communicating amendments to relevant business areas
- Review, assess, and report significant enterprise and strategic risks and issues identified across the organization
- Collaborate with departments to implement required risk mitigation actions and monitor effectiveness
- Prepare, consolidate, and report strategic risks on a quarterly basis, including monitoring mitigation plans for management reporting packs
- Scope, plan, and consolidate annual Business Continuity Plan testing across Aldar
- Develop, roll out, and test Group Business Continuity Plans to ensure organizational resilience
- Support business stakeholders in identifying and responding to risks arising from internal changes or external events
- Perform ad hoc risk and business continuity assignments as required
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management functions within large organizations, preferably in the real estate industry
- Minimum of 2+ years of managerial experience leading a corporate risk function
- Sector experience in retail real estate, construction, financial services, or consulting
- Bachelor degree in Finance or Engineering
- Professional certification in Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity Management System
- Strong knowledge of industry best risk management practices and regulatory requirements
- Understanding of NCEMA regulations
- Proven experience developing and implementing risk management and business continuity policies and processes
- Ability to analyze, present, and report risk management data to senior and executive stakeholders
