Job description
The Brand Activations Specialist organizes, manages, and executes in-store animations for key brand and product launches, collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver an aligned in-store activations calendar and thematic animations that drive brand awareness and sales. Core scope includes developing brand activation toolkits, consolidating brand activation requests, building and managing the in-store animation calendar with Category Management, planning for thematics and launches, confirming animation packages with brands and ensuring adherence to Sephora guidelines, coordinating with store teams so installations and dismantling follow the calendar, and ensuring brand visibility is activated across all relevant doors by campaign go-live dates. The role spearheads best practices and processes for successful execution, aligns with Retail Marketing to share accurate, up-to-date guidelines, ensures deliverables are approved and executed on time to meet brand and animation standards, maintains a monthly activations book and regular recaps across stakeholders, and reports on animation performance with key feedback. It requires project management, cross-functional collaboration (category, logistics, marketing, creative), strong organization, attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office and tracking/reporting tools, and the capacity to manage multiple simultaneous projects under deadline pressure within a fast-paced retail environment.

- Develop brand activation toolkits and consolidate all brand activation requests for in-store activations
- Build and manage the in-store animation calendar in partnership with Category Management
- Plan thematic animations and launch activities with category and cross-functional teams
- Communicate animation package confirmations to brands and enforce adherence to Sephora guidelines
- Coordinate with store teams to ensure installations and dismantling align with the approved calendar
- Ensure brand visibility is activated across all relevant doors by campaign go-live dates
- Establish and champion best practices and processes for animation execution
- Align with Retail Marketing to distribute accurate, up-to-date guidelines to brands on time
- Track approvals and deliverables to ensure on-time execution and compliance with brand/animation standards
- Maintain and share a monthly activations book with key stakeholders
- Provide regular cross-functional recaps of animations and report on performance with key insights and feedback
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience, preferably in the beauty retail industry; project management and cross-functional collaboration preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with tracking and reporting tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including logistics, marketing, and creative
- Understanding of in-store activations; self-motivated, proactive, collaborative, and able to work independently
