Job description
The Credit Manager – Auto Finance is responsible for managing credit offered to customers and overseeing the full auto finance lending lifecycle, including application intake, underwriting, approval or decline decisions, disbursement, and post-sale oversight. The role ensures accurate credit decisions with a maximum error rate of 2.5% as measured through daily reports and scorecards, where errors are defined as policy violations, parameter breaches, or inaccurate analysis. The position requires underwriting a minimum average of 70 finance applications per day and leading an assigned team to process 100% of finance applications proposed in FinnOne within the same day in accordance with SLA requirements. The Credit Manager supports business targets while maintaining a high-quality portfolio, ensures compliance with ADIB policies, Sharia principles, Central Bank regulations, and governance controls, and contributes to process improvement and policy enhancement through structured feedback. The role includes leadership responsibilities, staff training, performance monitoring, customer complaint handling, and collaboration with internal stakeholders such as branches and DSUs to improve communication and service quality.

Key responsibilities
- Manage auto finance credit offerings by overseeing the entire lending process from application through underwriting, approval or decline, and post-sale support
- Underwrite finance applications to achieve an average daily target of at least 70 cases while maintaining a maximum error rate of 2.5% in line with scorecards and daily reports
- Lead the assigned underwriting team to process 100% of finance applications in FinnOne within the same day in accordance with SLA requirements
- Handle internal and external customer complaints positively and promptly, ensuring timely resolution and high service standards
- Ensure compliance with ADIB HR guidelines, ethics code, confidentiality requirements, attendance standards, dress code, and Sharia morals
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding the team to achieve performance targets, portfolio quality goals, and acceptable error rates
- Design and deliver regular training programs on credit policy, including at least three formal training sessions annually and monthly staff evaluations
- Provide quarterly feedback on market trends to Policies and Procedures teams and contribute to revising credit criteria and parameters
- Submit a minimum of four valuable suggestions to improve underwriting processes and operational efficiency
- Support business units in achieving monthly budgets and targets while maintaining compliance with Central Bank regulations and internal policies
- Perform and comply with key operational controls as defined in ADIB policies and procedures on a daily basis
- Improve communication and collaboration with branches and DSUs as internal customers and provide constructive feedback on finance applications
Experience & skills
- Strong expertise in auto finance credit underwriting and end-to-end lending processes
- Demonstrated leadership capability in managing underwriting teams and performance targets
- Proficiency in FinnOne or similar credit underwriting systems
- Thorough knowledge of credit policies, underwriting parameters, and governance controls
- Understanding of Central Bank regulations and Sharia-compliant financing principles
- Ability to deliver structured training programs and conduct regular staff performance evaluations
- Capability to analyze underwriting errors, portfolio quality, and operational metrics using daily reports and scorecards
