Job description
The Account Handler â Corporate Risks role at Lockton MENA is an experienced insurance broking position based in Abu Dhabi, supporting major corporate clients across the UAE and wider MENA region. The role is responsible for identifying client risk management objectives, implementing and managing tailored client service plans, and overseeing the full insurance renewal lifecycle. The position provides technical insurance advice across core corporate risk lines, manages insurer negotiations and market placements, coordinates specialist resources across Locktonâs global network, and supports clients during major claims. The role also ensures adherence to premium collection terms, manages debtor queries, maintains renewal income in line with budgets, identifies new business opportunities, and supports the delivery of global insurance programmes within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key responsibilities
- Identify and assess client risk management objectives and insurance requirements
- Agree, implement, and manage client service plans and annual visit schedules
- Implement, monitor, and control insurance renewal procedures
- Advise clients on changes in perceived and emerging risk exposures
- Coordinate internal Lockton specialist teams to deliver comprehensive risk solutions
- Assist clients during major claims and ensure claims handling meets agreed Lockton standards
- Ensure client understanding of premium cash collection terms and resolve debtor queries promptly
- Maintain and protect client relationships, addressing vulnerable or at-risk accounts proactively
- Maintain renewal income in line with budgeted targets and personal objectives
- Identify and progress new business leads and cross-selling opportunities
- Provide accurate management information and reporting
- Manage and coordinate global insurance programmes and liaise with international partner networks or local service providers
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of experience working as an insurance broker
- Exhibit broking experience in the UAE market with client management and market placement exposure
- Demonstrate technical expertise across corporate insurance lines including PAR, CGL, WCEL, Money, FG, PI, and CAR
- Demonstrate ability to explain policy terms and conditions clearly and negotiate insurer terms in the clientâs best interest
- Exhibit experience working in fast-paced environments with short turnaround times
- Demonstrate understanding of global insurance programme coordination
- Exhibit commitment to continuous professional development through formal and informal learning
- Demonstrate knowledge of internal specialist resources and how to leverage them effectively
