Job description
The Manager ā Private Banking Acquisition at Emirates NBD is responsible for driving new-to-bank (NTB) client acquisition in the High-Net-Worth (HNW) and Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) segments. This role focuses on expanding the bankās Private Banking customer base by sourcing clients with a minimum relationship balance of USD 3 million or AED 20 million AUM, including mortgage portfolios. Reporting to the Retail Banking Sales division, the role is strategically positioned to attract and onboard affluent clients seeking holistic wealth management and investment solutions across UAE, GCC, and offshore markets (London and Singapore). The incumbent will be tasked with identifying and converting clients from competing institutions, ensuring smooth onboarding and relationship transition to Private Banking Relationship Managers. The role combines elements of strategic sales, market development, and high-touch client relationship management, with a strong emphasis on compliance, cross-selling, and service excellence.

Key responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and acquire new-to-bank HNW and UHNW clients with a relationship value of USD 3 million or higher.
- Develop and execute acquisition strategies targeting affluent individuals and entities across the UAE and GCC (including KSA, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman).
- Ensure end-to-end onboarding of new clients, including account opening, initial funding, AUM transfers, and mortgage integration.
- Work closely with Private Banking Relationship Managers to ensure seamless transition and continued engagement for up to 6 months post-onboarding.
- Achieve assigned sales and acquisition targets, contributing to overall Private Banking growth and revenue objectives.
- Cross-sell banking and wealth management products including CASA, Fixed Deposits, Mortgages, Lombard Lending, and Investment AUM solutions.
- Identify existing customers meeting Private Banking thresholds and promote PB products and services to upgrade their banking status.
- Source potential clients from competitors and facilitate asset transfers, including securities and bonds.
- Conduct frequent regional travel to develop high-value networks and build new client pipelines.
- Maintain strict compliance with bank policies, AML/CFT regulations, and customer onboarding standards.
- Provide timely market insights and intelligence to management to support strategic decision-making.
- Deliver exceptional client service to ensure high levels of satisfaction, loyalty, and referral business.
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to enhance product knowledge and maintain assessment standards.
Experience & skills
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree; MBA preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CISI or equivalent wealth management qualifications highly desirable.
- Minimum of 4 yearsā experience in banking, retail sales, or private banking acquisition (UAE or GCC experience preferred).
- Proven success in sourcing and managing HNW/UHNW clients.
- Strong understanding of wealth management products, investments, and banking operations.
- Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver results under pressure.
- Proficiency in cross-border client acquisition and knowledge of regional financial markets.
