Job description
The Senior Customer Solutions Engineer (CSE) at Cloudflare serves as a trusted technical advisor for Enterprise customers, guiding them through onboarding, value realization, and adoption of Cloudflare’s internet performance and security products. The CSE collaborates with cross-functional teams including Customer Success Managers, Product, Engineering, Sales, and Support to ensure successful outcomes. Key responsibilities include driving customer retention, managing technical escalations, advising on best practices across products, and identifying expansion opportunities. The role demands strong technical expertise in internet protocols (TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, HTTP), security (WAF, Bot Management, Rate Limiting, Zero Trust), performance optimization (Caching, HTTP/2, TLSv1.3), and scripting (Python, JavaScript, Bash). A deep understanding of internet infrastructure and passion for troubleshooting are essential. The position requires up to 50% travel and fluency in both English and Arabic.

Key responsibilities
- Serve as trusted technical advisor and support account team in regional customer engagements
- Deliver onboarding for customers and ensure full value realization of Cloudflare's products
- Provide proactive technical guidance and best practice recommendations
- Collaborate with Customer Support and Engineering on technical escalations
- Identify and communicate product gaps and promote expansion opportunities
- Participate in account reviews with technical contributions
- Contribute to internal and external documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Travel up to 50% for meetings, conferences, and customer engagements
Experience & skills
- 8+ years of post-sales customer relationship management experience
- Deep understanding of internet protocols such as TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, HTTP
- Experience with reverse and forward proxies
- Knowledge of security solutions like Firewalls, WAFs, Bot Management, Rate Limiting, Zero Trust
- Understanding of performance topics including Speed, Latency, Caching, Video Streaming, HTTP/2, TLSv1.3
- Experience with scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or Bash
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems effectively
- Fluent in English and Arabic
- Understanding of regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOC-2 is a plus
