Job description
Mondrian Abu Dhabi is seeking an ambitious Director of Sales to join its executive team in the exciting pre-opening phase. Tasked with shaping and executing the hotelâs commercial vision, this role leads all sales efforts across rooms, F&B, wellness, and events to position the property as a premier luxury destination. As a key leadership figure, youâll drive revenue, manage strategic partnerships, motivate a high-performance team, and collaborate closely with marketing, PR, and revenue teams. This role is ideal for a results-driven leader with a deep understanding of the luxury hospitality landscape and the ability to innovate in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans that align with Mondrianâs luxury positioning.
- Drive revenue across multiple verticals including rooms, F&B, wellness, and events.
- Lead the hotelâs pre-opening sales efforts and collaborate on integrated launch strategies.
- Build and manage relationships with high-value clients, travel agents, and corporate accounts.
- Work with marketing and PR teams to create aligned campaigns and visibility initiatives.
- Oversee the design and delivery of compelling sales presentations and promotional packages.
- Set team targets, design incentive programs, and ensure achievement of revenue goals.
- Monitor performance through KPIs and sales reports, providing updates to leadership.
- Negotiate strategic partnerships with tourism boards, businesses, and international stakeholders.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and sales missions.
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 5 years in hospitality sales with at least 3 years at a Director level.
- Experience in a luxury or lifestyle hotel environment is essential.
- Proven success in driving multi-department revenue and achieving sales targets.
- Strong background in both leisure and corporate markets, preferably globally.
- Pre-opening experience highly desirable.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency with GDS platforms, CRM systems, and digital sales tools.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and commercial awareness.
