Job description
The Indices & Business Development Senior Lead Specialist will play a critical role in shaping new products and services within the capital markets sector. Based in Riyadh, the role involves conducting market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes in the market information industry. Responsibilities include leading the assessment and evaluation of potential products, managing the entire product/service development cycle from strategic planning to execution, and ensuring alignment across divisions. The role requires preparing index simulations, understanding calculation processes, and benchmarking against international data providers. The Senior Lead Specialist will also engage with regulators, market participants, and internal stakeholders to support decision-making and drive innovation. Additionally, the role requires preparing reports, ensuring compliance with company standards, contributing to continuous improvement, and mentoring junior team members.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes
- Lead assessment of potential products and services to support management decisions
- Manage product/service development cycle including strategic planning, feasibility studies, and implementation
- Conduct and lead meetings with regulators, market participants, and internal departments
- Oversee product/service requirements with cross-divisional teams to ensure alignment
- Develop assessments of future products and services for impact and relevance to the Exchange
- Conduct benchmarking studies with international data providers
- Prepare and develop index simulations and understand index calculation processes
- Assess stakeholder expectations to ensure participation and investment
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members to foster collaboration and learning
- Carry out daily departmental operations in compliance with company standards
- Prepare accurate and timely reports to meet departmental and company objectives
- Ensure satisfaction of internal and external customers by addressing needs promptly
- Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and processes for consistency and control
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, cost effectiveness, and productivity
- Promote adherence to organizational policies and processes among employees
- Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and represent the company positively
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, MIS, or equivalent
- Master’s Degree in Finance or MIS preferred
- 6+ years of experience in capital markets
- Strong skills in data gathering and analysis
- Strong presentation skills
- Technical skills preferred
- Proven ability to lead projects, manage stakeholders, and deliver innovative market services
