Job description
Mastercard is hiring a Manager – Specialist Sales SME for Qatar & Kuwait, reporting to the East Arabia SME Division Lead. The role is responsible for driving SME product sales strategy, expanding commercial payment adoption, and growing revenue across financial institutions (FIs) and non-FIs. The position requires a mix of strategic planning, sales execution, and subject matter expertise in SME payment products, including cards and related services. This is a regional role covering two key growth markets with no direct reports, requiring strong influence and collaboration across teams.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute SME sales strategies to maximize revenue and profitability across Qatar and Kuwait
- Manage a sales pipeline, driving growth in SME portfolios across FIs and non-FIs
- Identify and convert new SME business opportunities, building ecosystems within the SME segment
- Lead commercialization of signed deals to ensure measurable revenue impact
- Support SME P&L objectives in Qatar and Kuwait
- Provide subject matter expertise in SME payments and manage end-to-end project delivery
- Collaborate cross-functionally across markets and geographies to deliver initiatives
- Identify opportunities for product innovation in SME payments
- Lead/Support regional expert sales initiatives to drive Mastercard East Arabia goals
Experience & skills
- Deep knowledge and understanding of SME products and services (e.g., SME Cards)
- Strong track record in sales and business development in payments industry
- Extensive account management experience with financial institutions and corporate clients
- Strong project and relationship management skills across multicultural, multi-country environments
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Proven negotiation and influencing skills without direct reporting authority
- Strong action bias with ability to deliver on sales targets
- Excellent presentation, writing, and communication skills at senior level
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills
- Experience in card industry and related product/project management (highly preferred)
