Job description
Maintenance at a petrochemical plant in Jubail relies heavily on contractors, and every one of those contracts has to be scoped, tendered and awarded properly before work can start. KBR's Sustainable Technology Solutions business places this Commercial Head at the centre of that process for the Maintenance Department. Scopes of work for maintenance carried out during normal plant operation are developed here, often with guidance given to the teams requesting them. Evaluation criteria and preliminary cost estimates come next, followed by Instructions to Bidders, selection of prospective bidders and the call for tenders. Once technical offers have been evaluated by the contract responsible, commercial evaluation of the economical offers falls to you, through to award and contractor authorisation to begin works. HSSEQ policies and programmes are built into every contract under your responsibility. QA/QC requirements and KPIs also go into each maintenance contractor's performance terms. Expect to bring 8+ years of related experience, including supervising bidding processes for maintenance activities, contracts administration, cost and budget control and SAP knowledge. A Bachelor's degree in Finance is required, and leadership experience within large, multi-cultural organisations will serve you well.
