HVDC projects, some built on offshore platforms, are won or lost on the strength of the technical bid, and this Tender Technical Manager leads that bid for GE Vernova from Dubai. Acting as HVDC Technical Bid Leader, you are the customer's primary technical contact throughout the tender. The global schedule of tender engineering activities, engineering processes and coordination across work packages all sit under your management. Solutions have to be safe, reliable, cost-effective and easy to install and operate, with documentation delivered on the tender timetable. Engineering budgets and the execution design strategy are developed with the Regional Technical Tendering Leader and Regional Engineering Leader, supported by Project Engineering Managers. Functional Engineering Leaders for control, platform and layout/design, along with project engineers who have executed similar jobs, feed into the solution. Technical risks and opportunities are managed from start to finish. Candidates need a Bachelor's in engineering, at least 10 years across HVDC, FACTS, industrial or renewable systems, mandatory HVDC/Grid Solution Integration experience and willingness to travel 20% or more. Knowledge of IEC 62351, IEC 62501, IEEE 1588, IEEE 802, IEEE 1402 and NERC CIP is desirable.
