Job description
In this role you will own the pre-sales technical strategy for all database opportunities across EMEA as a key member of SolarWinds' Sales team, combining deep database expertise with consultative selling skills to understand customer challenges and design tailored database monitoring and performance solutions. This is a field-based role with a strong on-site customer presence, requiring regular travel mainly in Dubai but also across the region. You will own the end-to-end SE strategy for database-focused customer engagements, including meeting agenda design, story arc, and technical approach. You are responsible for conducting compelling online and on-site demonstrations of SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer, SQL Sentry, and Database Observability solutions, tailoring messaging to the customer's specific database challenges. Your responsibilities include leading deep discovery sessions with customers to understand their database landscape and performance pain points, and recommending solutions that improve performance, scalability, and operational efficiency. You will clearly articulate the value proposition of SolarWinds database solutions using consultative and value-based selling techniques, translating technical database metrics into business outcomes. You are responsible for advising Inside and Outside Sales on technical pre-sales functions related to database monitoring, and designing and executing complex Proof of Concept and Proof of Value engagements across multi-database environments. In this role you will perform advanced pre-sales technical support duties including product configuration, agent deployment, and troubleshooting, and you will convey structured customer feedback to Product Management and Development teams. You will also present at partner events, trade shows, and industry conferences, maintaining a strong on-site presence with key database customers across the EMEA region.
