Job description
The Reliability Growth Engineer - RST & DEQ at Alstom in Riyadh is responsible for ensuring the reliability of rolling stock by leading the development of Reliability Growth activities and defining applicable processes aligned with Alstom global Reliability Growth process & tools and applicable standards. The role supports the Engineering Senior Manager and collaborates with the FLOW Reliability Growth team to build Reliability Growth skills and activities, aiming for autonomy and acting as the TSM representative with partners and external parties. It includes participating in project design and gate reviews for TSM, leading Reliability Growth actions, ensuring the Reliability Growth process is integrated into RAMS plans in accordance with RAMS commitments and Alstom policy, and monitoring reliability, availability, and maintainability with the publication of monthly reports. The position works closely with Operation & Maintenance teams, requires strong RAM background in railway systems, technical knowledge of rolling stock maintenance and design, effective investigatory skills into technical investigations, knowledge of the rail environment and engineering practices, high self-motivation with initiative, fluent English, and strong coordination and communication.

- Lead the development of Reliability Growth activities and define related processes in line with Alstom global Reliability Growth process & tools and applicable standards
- Support the Engineering Senior Manager and collaborate with the FLOW Reliability Growth team to develop Reliability Growth skills and activities, targeting autonomy and acting as TSM representative with partners and external parties
- Participate in projects’ design and gate reviews for TSM and lead associated Reliability Growth actions
- Ensure the Reliability Growth process is incorporated into RAMS plans in accordance with RAMS commitments and Alstom policy
- Monitor reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) metrics and publish monthly reports
- Work closely with Operation & Maintenance teams and cross-functional stakeholders to drive reliability outcomes
Experience & skills
- Hold a University Degree in Engineering
- Demonstrate a strong RAM background, especially in railway systems, operating requirements, available equipment and systems
- Possess technical knowledge and understanding of rolling stock maintenance and design
- Exhibit effective investigatory skills for technical investigations
- Be highly self-motivated and able to work under own initiative
- Be fluent in English
- Have knowledge of the rail environment and engineering practices
- Display good coordination and communication skills
