Job description
The Senior HR Partner, AWS Builder Experience Team role at Amazon Data Services Emirates LLC focuses on delivering an exceptional Builder experience within AWS by providing personalized, empathetic, and expert human resources support. The position operates within the Builder Experience Team (BeXT) and partners closely with AWS business leaders and cross-functional HR teams to design, innovate, implement, and deploy HR strategies across talent management, performance management, compensation, employee relations, and broader HR functions. The role requires application of HR fundamentals in a fast-paced, high-volume, and continuously changing environment driven by innovation. The Senior HR Partner serves as a trusted advisor to leaders at multiple organizational levels, acts as an escalation point for complex HR and employee relations matters, conducts workplace investigations with autonomy, and mentors other HR professionals while role modeling Amazonās Leadership Principles. The role emphasizes inclusion, high judgement, discretion, confidentiality, and the ability to influence across teams, regions, and leadership levels, while supporting AWS Builders aligned to specific business lines or regions. Fluency in Arabic is required, and the role includes up to 20% travel.

- Partner with leaders at multiple levels to develop forward-looking strategies and goals focused on Builder experience
- Advocate for Buildersā needs by delivering end-to-end employee experiences that drive engagement and inclusion
- Serve as a first point of escalation for HR teammates and Builder concerns while managing ambiguity and complex situations
- Support Builder queries with discretion and expertise by navigating Amazon policies and applying sound judgement
- Promote adoption of HR technology and self-service solutions
- Collaborate and influence Builders, senior leaders, and HR professionals across teams, regions, and functions
- Conduct complex workplace investigations with significant autonomy
- Design and implement new HR approaches, processes, and procedures to drive continuous improvement in the business and HR organization
- Mentor and influence other HR professionals through informal leadership and knowledge sharing
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree or higher in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology, or a related field
- 7+ years of relevant Human Resources Generalist experience
- Fluency in Arabic language
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
- Experience working in a matrixed organization
- Strong business and HR acumen with problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Experience consulting on complex performance management and employee relations cases
- Experience conducting workplace investigations
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee issues
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and influencing HR professionals and senior leaders
- PHR or SHRM certification
- Experience with Work Councils or other employee representative bodies
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, high-volume, and ambiguous environment with multiple priorities
