Job description
Four teams make up this function within ADIB Technology, namely Transformation & Enablement, Technology Transformation, PM Governance and PM Delivery, and this Head leads all of them. The Acting CIO and Technology Leadership Team rely on you as a trusted advisor on transformation, portfolio and workforce matters. Portfolio planning, prioritisation and investment governance sit at the centre, tied to ADIB strategy, approved budgets, resource capacity and risk appetite. Executive portfolio reviews and transparent reporting on scope, schedule, cost, benefits, risk and decisions keep leadership informed. Governance means PMO policies, standards, stage gates, controls and assurance that stand up to audit. On the transformation side, you will set the roadmap and move teams toward Agile and hybrid ways of working and value-based delivery. Workforce planning is a major responsibility too, balancing permanent FTE, UAE National talent, contractors and strategic partners against portfolio demand. Structured development for UAE Nationals includes mentoring, coaching, job rotations, stretch assignments and certifications, with succession pipelines for project, programme, governance and transformation roles. The position is open to UAE Nationals only and is based in Abu Dhabi.

- Ensure governance, audit readiness, quality assurance and compliance across programmes and projects
- Drive PMO maturity through assurance findings, lessons learned and performance trends
- Deliver technology programmes and projects within approved scope, schedule, budget and quality
- Manage delivery risks, dependencies, resource constraints, vendor accountability and benefits realisation
- Develop the function workforce plan, organisation design, role requirements and FTE demand forecast
- Balance permanent FTE, UAE National talent, contractors and partner capacity against demand and budget
- Build structured development plans, career pathways and succession pipelines for UAE Nationals
- Coach the function leadership team and wider workforce with clear objectives and accountability
