Job description
The Account Executive – Innovative Technical Sales (US Market Focus) at BytePlus, a business unit of ByteDance, is responsible for driving growth across the US SaaS and AI ecosystem from a Dubai-based hub. This role focuses on establishing and scaling a sustainable sales pipeline for BytePlus’s innovative technology suite, targeting AI startups, tech enterprises, and growth-stage companies leveraging GenAI workflows, agentic AI applications, and API-based creative tools. The Account Executive leads full sales cycles, from outbound prospecting and ecosystem engagement to closing mid-market and enterprise deals, with a strong emphasis on new logo acquisition and consultative revenue growth. The role requires deep familiarity with the US SaaS landscape, strong domain knowledge in generative AI including image and video generation, creative automation, and LLM-based applications, and the ability to convert aggregator-driven marketplace accounts into direct enterprise relationships. Operating in a highly entrepreneurial and fast-scaling environment, the candidate will manage strategic relationships, build predictable pipelines through developer and app ecosystem communities, and frequently travel to the United States to engage clients and partners on-site. Chinese business proficiency is mandatory to effectively support Chinese-funded clients and partners across US regions.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and scale a sustainable sales pipeline targeting AI startups and technology enterprises across the US market
- Drive new logo acquisition by identifying and converting growth-stage customers across GenAI, agentic AI, and API-based creative workflows
- Manage full B2B sales cycles from prospecting through negotiation and deal closure for mid-market and enterprise accounts
- Build strategic relationships within the US SaaS and AI ecosystem to expand BytePlus’s market footprint
- Lead outbound prospecting initiatives and cultivate developer and app ecosystem partnerships to create predictable pipeline growth
- Transition aggregator-driven marketplace accounts into high-value direct enterprise customers
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align sales execution with product, marketing, and regional strategies
- Operate from the Dubai hub while traveling frequently to the US to meet customers and stakeholders
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5+ years of B2B sales experience managing full sales cycles
- Proven track record of closing mid-market deals and developing new business in competitive markets
- Deep familiarity with the US SaaS ecosystem and stakeholder landscape
- Strong understanding of GenAI workflows including image/video generation, creative automation, and LLM-based applications
- Experience selling technical or API-driven solutions to developers or enterprise clients
- Chinese business proficiency required for communication with Chinese-funded clients and partners
- High readiness for frequent international travel between Dubai and the US
- Entrepreneurial mindset with demonstrated ability to enter and develop early-stage markets
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering and/or MBA preferred
- Experience in Video Cloud, AI/ML, Creative SaaS, or management consulting considered advantageous
