Job description
To be the main intermediary between the Marketing & Corporate Communication (MarCom) team and SU team, ensuring the requirements of the business units are anticipated and provided for in a timely professional manner. To develop and implement PR and communication programs for SU. To develop proactive productive relationships with representatives of key media – print, broadcast and online – with the objective of maximizing positive coverage and effectively managing any issues if necessary.

Key responsibilities
- Advise on best media outlets for different target audiences and key messages
- Take a lead role in the development and implementation of the communications plans of SU
- Manage an editorial timeline for the business unit, ensuring adequate planning to support activity
- Advise on media materials to ensure they are in an appropriate and timely format
- Proactively look for opportunities and suggest opportunities to place stories about the business
- Maintain a good knowledge of the media relevant to the business and maintain an updated database of key media representatives
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by direct supervisor
- Align and supervise the execution of timely tasks being done by the media relations officer
- Train the media relations officer on the development of media monitoring system with continuous update
- Maintain good relationships with key media
- Proactively build knowledge and be alert to opportunities, mindful of resources available
- Build productive relationships with internal customers, researching briefs for stories and identifying news opportunities
- Advise on media and promote professional high standards of PR and communication
Experience & skills
- Degree in Business Administration, Journalism, Public Relations, or Communications Studies
- Proven ability to develop and implement PR and communication programs
- Experience liaising between corporate communication teams and business units
- Strong knowledge of print, broadcast, and online media outlets
- Experience developing media materials such as press releases, editorial content, and PR campaigns
- Ability to manage editorial timelines and communications calendars
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key media representatives
- Experience in media monitoring and reporting systems
- Familiarity with crisis communication and handling sensitive media issues
- Ability to train and supervise junior media officers or team members
- Knowledge of communication standards, best practices, and ethical guidelines in PR
