Job description
The Senior Project Manager - Infrastructure will join Mace’s Project & Programme Management team in Umluj, Saudi Arabia, contributing to the delivery of a major entertainment and luxury hospitality project involving extensive infrastructure and built assets. The project is delivered through a hands-on Construction Management approach, requiring experience managing both main and sub-contract packages in complex, fast-paced environments. The role combines construction expertise and consultancy capability, blending main contracting and consultancy experience with strong stakeholder management to ensure on-site delivery and commercial performance of complex infrastructure works. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for championing safety practices in line with Mace’s safety first values, ensuring compliance with local health and safety rules and regulations, and fostering a safe, diverse, and inclusive working environment. The position includes leading project and construction management activities, coordinating technical services, external resources, and project teams for the client, and collaborating with contractors, sub-contractors, design teams, and stakeholders. The role oversees procurement, design, project brief development, professional fees, claims, and variations, while managing project timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies to meet programme milestones. Responsibilities also include maintaining robust quality management systems, overseeing documentation control and handover processes, driving best practice, networking internally, and leveraging Mace Group expertise. The position requires major project experience, significant main contractor experience on projects valued at £250+ and consultancy experience on projects valued at £1bn+, with professional membership such as MCIOB (or equivalent) and a degree in civil engineering or construction management. Middle East experience is considered an advantage.
