Job description
The Business Analyst (Corporate & Trade Payments) will serve as a critical liaison between business, operations, and technology teams at Swift in Dubai, focusing on corporate banking, trade flows, and SWIFT payments. The role requires documenting complex corporate transaction and payment flows, supporting solution design, and ensuring compliance with global payment standards including ISO 20022 and related APIs. Responsibilities include gathering and validating requirements, creating high-quality documentation such as BRDs, FRDs/FSDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process and sequence diagrams, assisting in API definitions and data mappings, and analyzing system interactions. The analyst will identify gaps, risks, assumptions, and dependencies, propose mitigation measures, and maintain alignment with stakeholders across geographies and time zones, facilitating collaboration between business, technical teams, and external partners including banks and fintech organizations.

Key responsibilities
- Engage with business and technical stakeholders to gather, analyze, validate and document requirements for corporate-related initiatives
- Develop high-quality functional and non-functional documentation including Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirements Specifications (FRD/FSD), user stories, acceptance criteria, process flow diagrams and sequence diagrams
- Support solution design by working closely with Solution Architects and Product teams
- Assist in API definition, data mapping, message standards (ISO 20022) and field-level specifications
- Identify gaps, risks, assumptions and dependencies and propose mitigation solutions
- Act as a bridge between business, technology, and external partners including banks and fintechs
Experience & skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the payments or financial services domain
- Strong understanding of corporate and trade flows
- Prior experience working as a Business Analyst in banks, corporates, or fintechs
- Strong experience creating process flows and system interaction diagrams
- Solid understanding of data structures, message formats, APIs, and integration patterns
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across geographies and time zones
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
