Job description
The role oversees all health, safety, fire protection, and security measures for a large single-site Alshaya Central Production Facility in Saudi Arabia’s Central Province. Responsibilities span environmental monitoring for staff and customers, implementing structured risk assessment and prevention programs, managing fire precautions, fire control systems, evacuation protocols, and preventive maintenance activities. The position also ensures strict hygiene and security program implementation, analyses reports and data to identify operational risks, drives corrective actions, and supervises Medical Services activities. The Health and Safety Manager must apply advanced knowledge of fire and security systems, alarm operations, emergency evacuation procedures, and civil protection practices while maintaining compliance with company and regulatory standards and ensuring continuous safety for employees, visitors, customers, and neighbouring businesses.

Key responsibilities
- Monitor environmental conditions across the facility to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risk.
- Implement structured safety, security, and hygiene programs aligned with company and regulatory standards.
- Oversee all fire safety precautions including fire control systems, alarms, preventive maintenance, and evacuation planning.
- Review and analyse safety-related reports and operational data to identify risks and drive corrective action.
- Manage and supervise Medical Services activities within the facility.
- Ensure safety and security for employees, customers, visitors, and neighbouring businesses through formalized risk prevention measures.
- Lead emergency preparedness, civil protection initiatives, and incident response protocols.
Experience & skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in health and safety or civil protection.
- NEBOSH certification or equivalent; M.A. in Civil Protection desirable.
- Strong knowledge of fire and security systems, emergency evacuation procedures, and alarm operations.
- Ability to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks in a large operational environment.
- Experience implementing structured safety, security, and hygiene programs.
- Ability to analyse reports and safety data for risk communication and decision support.
