Job description
Emirates NBD is seeking an Equity Analyst to join its Capital Markets division in Dubai. This position focuses on conducting bottom-up research and company analysis to generate investment ideas and support advisory portfolios. The analyst will be involved in building financial models, managing strategy notes, monitoring markets, and ensuring timely risk/return assessments. The role supports the Chief Investment Office with regular publications and performance tracking, while also responding to client-specific research requests. Ideal candidates will have a strong quantitative background, relevant sector experience, and a CFA qualification.

Key responsibilities
- Conduct bottom-up company research and analysis for investment recommendations
- Develop investment cases on markets, issuers, and securities
- Maintain model portfolios and recommended lists
- Monitor markets and generate trade ideas
- Build spreadsheets to produce valuation and growth financial models
- Assist the team with all analytical requirements
- Coordinate, update, and provide inputs to advisory portfolios
- Contribute to Chief Investment Office publications and strategy notes
- Ensure quality, originality, and relevance of research content
- Enhance publications with charts and graphics
- Communicate with internal stakeholders through meetings and reports
- Respond to ad hoc client requests and participate in client meetings
- Publish regular strategy notes in consultation with CIO team
- Ensure appropriate risk analysis and return assessments are conducted
- Monitor and report on portfolio performance issues
- Ensure compliance with CIO management policies
Experience & skills
- Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or Mathematics
- CFA Certification
- 7ā10 years of experience in Financial Analysis or Capital Markets
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- Advanced quantitative analytical skills
- Experience in equity research and portfolio management
- Ability to interpret financial data and make strategic investment recommendations
- Proficiency in generating strategy publications and investment notes
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders
