Job description
The Managing Consultant – Authorization & Fraud SME role sits within Mastercard’s Advisors & Consulting Services organization in Saudi Arabia and focuses on Strategy & Transformation engagements related to authorization, fraud, and risk within digital payments ecosystems. The role leads client engagements across banking, payments, retail, and other industries, leveraging Mastercard’s proprietary data assets, platforms, and technology to develop strategies and programs that enhance fraud management, cybersecurity, and digital payment experiences. The position owns senior client relationships, assesses organizational readiness for change, drives data-driven insights, and delivers impactful recommendations. In parallel, the role provides team leadership, mentors junior consultants, collaborates with internal Mastercard product and business development teams, supports new business development, and contributes to the firm’s intellectual capital while operating in compliance with Mastercard’s corporate security responsibilities.

- Lead consulting engagements focused on authorization, fraud, and risk across multiple industries
- Develop client strategies and transformation programs using data, technology, and Mastercard platforms
- Own and manage relationships with mid-level to senior client stakeholders
- Assess client strategy, organizational culture, and change readiness
- Lead consulting teams to deliver analytical insights, business recommendations, and client presentations
- Provide day-to-day project delivery leadership and mentorship to junior consultants
- Collaborate with internal Mastercard product and business development teams to scope engagements and design solutions
- Identify new business development opportunities and support proposal drafting and opportunity scoping
- Contribute to development of intellectual capital, innovative solutions, and consulting methodologies
- Ensure adherence to Mastercard information security policies and mandatory security requirements
Experience & skills
- Hold an undergraduate degree with professional experience in consulting, corporate strategy, business intelligence, product management, or business line management
- Demonstrate experience managing consulting teams and multiple client engagements
- Exhibit experience managing key client relationships and senior stakeholders
- Maintain strong understanding of business KPIs, financials, and organizational leadership
- Demonstrate logical and structured problem-solving with strong numerical analysis skills
- Exhibit advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrate ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven consulting environment
- Demonstrate effective communication skills in English and eligibility to work and travel within Saudi Arabia
