Job description
The Assistant Manager β Business Continuity & Crisis Management (GRC) role in the United Arab Emirates is responsible for managing and delivering Business Continuity Management (BCM), IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR), and Crisis Management engagements within a Risk Advisory and Governance, Risk & Compliance context. The role involves end-to-end delivery of BCM and ITDR initiatives including enterprise framework design, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), risk and threat assessments, recovery strategies, IT Disaster Recovery Plans, IT dependency mapping, crisis management, incident response and communication frameworks, as well as the development of training materials and execution of tabletop and simulation exercises. The position requires strong practical application of ISO 22301, ISO 27031, and leading BCM and Crisis Management standards and frameworks, with hands-on definition of MAO, MBCOs, RTOs, RPOs, and recovery strategies across complex operating environments. The role operates in line with KPMG standards, includes review and finalization of client reports, dashboards, and executive presentations, and supports business development, proposal development, practice quality management, methodology enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required, along with professional written and spoken English capability, and prior UAE or GCC experience is considered a strong advantage.

Key responsibilities
- Manage and deliver BCM, ITDR, and Crisis Management engagements including framework design, Business Impact Analyses, Business Continuity Plans, risk assessments, recovery strategies, IT Disaster Recovery Plans, training, and tabletop and simulation exercises
- Lead incident, crisis, business continuity, and ITDR workstreams ensuring timely and high-quality delivery aligned with KPMG standards
- Act as a client liaison by managing engagements and providing practical, value-driven BCM, ITDR, and Crisis Management advice
- Review, finalize, and quality-assure client deliverables including reports, dashboards, and executive-level presentations
- Guide, coach, and review the work of Consultants and Senior Consultants across multiple concurrent engagements
- Contribute to proposal development, business development initiatives, thought leadership, and practice growth activities
- Support practice quality management, methodology enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives within the BCM and Crisis Management practice
Experience & skills
- Possess 6β8 years of relevant experience in Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management, Resilience, IT Resilience, or Risk Advisory
- Demonstrate strong practical knowledge of ISO 22301, ISO 27031, and leading Business Continuity and Crisis Management standards and frameworks
- Show hands-on experience defining MAO, MBCOs, RTOs, RPOs, and recovery strategies across complex organizational environments
- Hold a Bachelorβs degree in a relevant discipline
- Maintain advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English
- Hold CBCP, MBCI, ISO 22301 LA/LI, or equivalent certification, which is preferred
- Bring prior professional experience in the UAE or GCC region, which is considered a strong advantage
