Job description
The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects from conception through to final completion, primarily within the context of well control and hoisting equipment for land rigs and jack-up rigs. The role supports major projects alongside the Project Manager or leads minor projects independently. The engineer will manage project execution in line with the Lamprell Group Management System (LGMS), coordinate engineering method statements and execution plans, and ensure timely material requisitions. The role also involves managing technical queries, change orders, and subcontractor integration. The engineer will provide cost and schedule assessments, track productivity, enforce quality and safety standards, and temporarily assume the role of Project Manager when necessary. Proficiency in ISO 9001, API Q1, API 4F, and API 16C standards is essential, along with strong cross-functional coordination and client communication skills.

Key responsibilities
- Ensure all project activities are executed safely and in accordance with LGMS
- Prepare document distribution matrix and ensure stakeholder compliance
- Coordinate and implement engineering method statements and execution plans
- Prepare material requisitions and monitor usage for potential shortages
- Coordinate with Engineering and Quality Control to prepare critical services list
- Assist with preparation and monitoring of change orders and additional work requests
- Manage and track project technical queries and resolutions
- Facilitate technical discussions between client and project teams
- Identify and report cost and schedule improvement opportunities
- Monitor project risk register and ensure risk responsibilities are fulfilled
- Track schedule activities and follow up with subcontractors and suppliers
- Investigate productivity variances and report to Project Manager
- Coordinate with Subcontract Department to meet budget and schedule targets
- Ensure seamless service integration with suppliers and production activities
- Maintain compliance with HSES responsibilities
- Follow all information security policies and procedures
- Act as Project Manager during their absence to ensure project continuity
Experience & skills
- Minimum of a Diploma or Engineering degree
- At least 10 years of experience in manufacturing, modification, and maintenance of well control and hoisting equipment
- Strong knowledge of Quality Systems, cost control, production, and engineering processes
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Knowledge of Class regulations and industry standards such as ISO 9001, API Q1, API 4F, and API 16C
