Microsoft is hiring a Cloud & AI Solution Engineer in Riyadh to work on cutting-edge AI application projects. This role supports commercial customers by guiding them through the adoption of Microsoftâs AI-powered stack including AI Foundry, Azure AI, and Responsible AI practices. As a technical advisor, you'll lead hands-on sessions like Proof of Concepts, hackathons, and workshops, driving technical sales and solution deployments. Key responsibilities
- Drive technical sales engagements by building and delivering high-impact demos and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) that showcase Microsoft's AI capabilities and influence solution architecture decisions
- Lead collaborative hands-on engagements such as hackathons, workshops, and code-with sessions to support the adoption of Microsoftâs developer tools, Azure AI, and cloud platforms
- Provide strategic technical guidance to enterprise AI developers and engineering teams throughout the full development lifecycleâfrom ideation to deploymentâensuring secure, scalable, and responsible AI solution implementation
- Design and co-create custom AI and cloud-native applications with clients, using modern architectures including microservices, containers, serverless, and event-driven designs
- Resolve technical blockers by working closely with engineering and product teams, and act as the voice of the customer to influence product roadmap and improvements
- Maintain in-depth knowledge and hands-on proficiency in AI Foundry, Agentic AI frameworks, Semantic Kernel, and Microsoftâs Foundry SDK to assist clients in advanced AI adoption
- Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, and product teams to align AI solution delivery with business objectives and customer success goals
- Maintain and continuously expand knowledge in AI Security, Governance, Monitoring, and Responsible AI frameworks (e.g., Sentinel, Gen AI Ops)
- Support enterprise customers in transitioning from legacy systems to modern AI-powered applications on Azure
- Champion Microsoftâs AI technologies through community engagement, technical evangelism, and speaking opportunities at events, webinars, and user groups
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 5 years in technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or a closely related role in enterprise software, cloud, or AI technology delivery
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Masterâs preferred)
- Strong hands-on experience with AI development frameworks such as Agentic AI, Semantic Kernel, and Foundry SDK, including experience with model fine-tuning and inferencing
- Expertise in designing full-stack cloud-native architectures using microservices, containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), APIs, and event-driven models
- Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver technical engagements such as PoCs, MVPs, and architecture design sessions that result in scalable production implementations
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages including Python, Java, C#, or .NET, and familiarity with AI development tools like Jupyter, VS Code, GitHub, and Copilot Studio
- Experience with AI/ML lifecycle management including Responsible AI practices, governance, and monitoring frameworks
- Strong background in using cloud services (Azure preferred) and integrating security best practices such as identity management, token-based authentication, and data encryption
- Ability to understand and optimize cloud economics and AI infrastructure costs to drive ROI for clients
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
