Job description
The Finance Supervisor at The First Collection Marina plays a key leadership role in overseeing the hotelās daily financial operations and ensuring the integrity of all accounting activities. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the role ensures timely and accurate financial reporting, adherence to internal control frameworks, and compliance with regulatory and tax obligations. The Finance Supervisor manages core functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and income audit, while also contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. This position requires strong analytical acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments to resolve financial discrepancies efficiently. The successful candidate will also mentor junior accounting staff, promote operational excellence, and support both internal and external audit processes. This is a pivotal role within The First Collection Marinaās finance team, contributing directly to the financial health and operational efficiency of a flagship hospitality asset within the groupās growing portfolio.

Key responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and income audit.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial transactions to ensure compliance with hotel policies and internal controls.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, including bank reconciliations and petty cash disbursements.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes to align with business performance goals.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in the preparation and filing of VAT and corporate tax returns.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely submission of required documentation and responses to audit queries.
- Evaluate and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
- Train, supervise, and mentor junior finance team members to enhance performance and foster professional growth.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data integrity and resolution of accounting issues promptly.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA or CMA certification is an advantage.
- 3ā5 years of progressive experience in hotel or hospitality finance, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong understanding of hospitality financial systems such as Opera, Sun Systems, SAP, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Solid knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Experience managing accounts payable, receivable, and payroll operations.
- Strong grasp of internal controls, tax compliance (VAT, corporate tax), and audit coordination.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities with experience leading small teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
